"Ninnin"
(pronounced NING-UH-NING) and "Ni" (pronounced
NEE) is Marshallese for child and coconut, respectively. This
photo was taken during a island-wide celebration of "Liberation
Day", the day the island was liberated from the Japanese following
WWII. |
